In June 2025, the legendary Stelvio Pass road will be closed to motorized traffic during the first half of the night, starting at 8 p.m. The last 7 kilometers from Franzenshöhe to the top of the pass will be magically bathed in light to guide visitors.

In June 2025, the legendary Stelvio Pass road will be closed to motorized traffic from 8 p.m. onwards during the first half of the night, opening entirely to cyclists and pedestrians! The last 7 kilometers from Franzenshöhe to the top of the pass will be magically bathed in indirect light to guide visitors up to 2,757 meters. Along the route from Trafoi to the top of the pass—including at our Berghotel Franzenshöhe—five different dining options await you, offering regional delicacies! Whether on foot, by (e-)bike, or other non-motorized means of transport, everyone is invited to take an enjoyable journey along the Stelvio Pass road at night on June 27, 2025.
