In June 2026, the legendary Stelvio Pass Road will be closed to motorized traffic in the early night starting at 8:00 PM. The last 7 kilometers, from the Berghotel Franzenshöhe up to the pass summit, will be bathed in magical lighting to guide visitors along the route.

In June 2026, the legendary Stelvio Pass Road will be closed to motorized traffic in the early night from 8:00 PM, opening entirely to cyclists and pedestrians! The last 7 kilometers, from the Berghotel Franzenshöhe up to the pass summit, will be bathed in soft, indirect lighting, guiding visitors along the route to 2,757 meters.
Along the way from Trafoi to the pass summit – including stops at the Berghotel Franzenshöhe – you’ll find five different tasting points featuring regional specialties. Whether on foot, by (e-)bike, or using other non-motorized means, everyone is invited to enjoy a unique nighttime journey along the Stelvio Pass Road on June 26, 2026.
